— The Wolves posted a 3-5-0-1 record and .389 winning percentage during the month of October, which marks their third-lowest winning percentage during the first month of the season in franchise history; the 2002-03 squad (1-4-1-1, .286 winning percentage in October) and the 2009-10 team (3-6-0-1, .350) both went on to win more than 43 games and make the playoffs in their respective seasons.

— Goaltender Matt Climie stopped his sixth AHL penalty shot on six attempts Saturday; it also marked the 32nd penalty shot taken against the Wolves in club history and Chicago netminders have stopped 22 of them.

— Chicago surrendered a season-high three power-play goals to Charlotte on Sunday after allowing just four man-advantage markers in its first eight outings of the year; the Wolves share 10th in the AHL with an 84.4% efficiency rating on the penalty kill this season (38 of 45).

— Only four skaters have appeared in all nine of Chicago’s games this season; right wing Ty Rattie is the only forward, while defensemen Evan Oberg, Brent Regner, and David Shields have also achieved the feat.

— The Wolves have found the back of the net on just four of their 43 power-play chances this season; Chicago’s 9.3 conversion rate on the man-advantage holds 28th in the AHL.

— When the Wolves and Oklahoma City Barons battle on Friday and Saturday, it will mark the first time Chicago head coach JOHN ANDERSON and Oklahoma City head coach TODD NELSON face each other as head coaches; NELSON served as ANDERSON’s assistant with the Wolves from 2006-08 and the NHL’s Atlanta Thrashers from 2008-10; the duo won the Calder Cup championship together in Chicago in 2008.
