Fairchild recalled and traded to Phoenix

The Chicago Wolves announced Wednesday that defenseman Cade Fairchild has been recalled to the National Hockey League and traded to the Phoenix Coyotes for future considerations.

The 25-year-old produced two goals and 21 points in 33 games for the Wolves this season and his 19 assists ranked third on the team at the time of his recall. He also appeared in two games for the ECHL’s Kalamazoo Wings.

The Duluth, Minn., native has posted 10 goals, 53 assists and a +29 plus/minus rating in 144 AHL games spread between the Wolves and the Peoria Rivermen.
