Wolves ink Asuchak to deal

July 8, 2015

The Chicago Wolves announced Wednesday that they have signed forward Spencer Asuchak to a contract for the 2015-16 season.

After posting 30 points (12G, 18A) in 28 regular-season games, he ranked third on the team in postseason scoring with 21 points (11G, 10A) in 25 games. It was the second consecutive title for ASUCHAK and the Americans, who won the CHL championship in 2013-14.

The Kamloops, British Columbia, native also made his American Hockey League debut last season, suiting up in three games for Worcester and 18 games for Providence. He contributed six points (2G, 4A), 27 penalty minutes, and a -1 plus/minus rating in the stints.

ASUCHAK has totaled 30 points (12G, 18A), 65 penalty minutes, and a -1 plus/minus rating in 31 career ECHL regular-season games with Ontario (2011-12) and Allen (2014-15). In his one season of CHL action (2013-14), he registered 56 points (21G, 35A) in 66 games with another 11 points (4G, 7A) in 17 playoff tilts. Additionally he played one season for Mount Royal University (CIS) in 2012-13, recording six points (2G, 4A) in 10 games.

In accordance with team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
