Dynegy boosts Chicago Wolves Charities and Girls in the Game

When a hockey team goes on the power play, it boasts an extra competitor on its side.

Chicago Wolves Charities loved it each time the Wolves went on the power play during the 2015-16 season because the team had Dynegy on its side.

Because the Wolves put 48 power-play goals into the back of the opponents’ net, Dynegy has written a check for $4,800 to Chicago Wolves Charities.

That donation directly helps Chicago-based Girls in the Game, which Dynegy selected as its Chicago Wolves Charities partner. Girls in the Game empowers all girls to be gamechangers. The organization delivers summer programs and support for more than 2,000 Chicago-area girls who might not otherwise have the chance to benefit from everything that sports, fitness, nutrition and health education provide.

“Dynegy is pleased that the thousands of dollars donated through our partnership with the Wolves and Girls in the Game has helped and empowered girls across the Chicago area. At Dynegy, we power our communities and this is just another example,” said Mark Fanning, Managing Director of Retail Business Operations for Dynegy. “We look forward to dozens of power play goals from the Wolves in the upcoming season to further benefit Girls in the Game.”

The Chicago Wolves and Dynegy formed a partnership prior to the 2014-15 season that featured branding on Allstate Arena’s LED boards during every Wolves power play. Dynegy also was featured on every Wolves television broadcast.

Dynegy has powered Chicago Wolves Charities to the tune of $9,800 during the first two years of their partnership – and Dynegy plans to deliver even more in seasons to come.
