Kristo returns to the fold

The Chicago Wolves announced Tuesday that right wing Danny Kristo, the team’s leading goal-scorer last season, has signed a two-way contract to return to the organization.

Kristo, 26, paced the Wolves with 25 goals and led the American Hockey League with 4 game-winning overtime goals during the 2015-16 season. He finished with a professional-best 48 points in 71 games.

A second-round pick in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, Kristo has delivered 72 goals and 68 assists in 217 AHL regular-season games. During three-plus seasons in the league, Kristo also has skated for the Hamilton Bulldogs and the Hartford Wolf Pack.

Prior to his professional career, Kristo was a standout at the University of North Dakota and earned the College Hockey News’ 2013 Player of the Year award in his senior season.

The Wolves host the franchise’s 23rd home opener on Saturday, Oct. 15, at Allstate Arena. To find the best deals on season-ticket packages and group outings, visit ChicagoWolves.com or call 1-800-THE-WOLVES.
