Chicago Wolves Face Grand Rapids Griffins in Central Division Finals

The Chicago Wolves will have the home-ice advantage for the best-of-seven Central Division Finals that begin Wednesday, May 3, against the Grand Rapids Griffins.

The top-seeded Wolves, who defeated the Charlotte Checkers 3-2 in Game 5 on Wednesday night to claim their best-of-five Central Division Semifinals, rallied down the regular-season stretch to edge the second-seeded Griffins for the Central Division title by 1 point.

The Wolves welcome Grand Rapids to Allstate Arena for 7 p.m. games on Wednesday, May 3, and Friday, May 5. After traveling to Van Andel Arena for Game 3 (6 p.m. on Saturday, May 6) and Game 4 (6 p.m. on Monday, May 8), the Wolves are slated to host Game 5 at 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 13, and Game 7 on Tuesday, May 16, if necessary.

All home games will be broadcast on The U Too, which can be found over the air on 26.2 and via cable and satellite on XFinity 230, Dish Network 48, RCN 35, and WOW 170.

Chicago and Grand Rapids met 10 times during the regular season. The Griffins won five of the seven games that were settled in regulation and claimed all three games that went to overtime. This marks the fifth time the franchises have met in the postseason and the Wolves won three of the first four series.

The winner of the Chicago-Grand Rapids series advances to the Western Conference Finals against the winner of the Pacific Division Finals. For information on Calder Cup tickets, visit ChicagoWolves.com/playoffs, ticketmaster.com, or call 1-800-THE-WOLVES.
