Aulie Signs with Wolves

The Chicago Wolves announced Wednesday that defenseman Keith Aulie has signed a professional tryout contract with the team.

The 28-year-old veteran comes to Chicago with more than 150 National Hockey League games under his belt. Aulie spent time with the Edmonton Oilers, Tampa Bay Lighting and Toronto Maple Leafs across five seasons (2010-15).

Last season at the American Hockey League level, Aulie skated the majority of the season with the Stockton Heat and collected seven points (2G, 5A) in 54 appearances. Additionally, he skated three games for the Cleveland Monsters and logged two penalty minutes.

Through seven seasons in the AHL, Aulie has appeared in 202 games and registered 33 points (11G, 22A) with 266 penalty minutes. Aulie was a member of the 2012 Calder Cup champion Norfolk Admirals and appeared in all four games as Norfolk swept the Toronto Marlies for the title.

Aulie will be available when the Wolves resume competition on Saturday, Oct. 21, as the Tucson Roadrunners visit Allstate Arena for the first time since joining the AHL in 2016. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m. and the game will be broadcast live on CW50 throughout the Chicago area.
