Celebrate Dover Youth Education Night on Oct. 28

Dover Corporation believes in equipping children with the schooling needed for a bright future. As a Downers Grove-based global manufacturer that delivers innovative equipment and components, specialty systems, and support services all over the world, Dover places an importance on supporting STEM education opportunities for youth.

Dover’s commitment to this cause has led to the second annual Dover Youth Education Night on Saturday, Oct. 28, when the Chicago Wolves play the Milwaukee Admirals at Allstate Arena in Rosemont.

Dover has donated 500 tickets to local youth education organizations and STEM groups for the Wolves’ American Hockey League game. Many Dover employees and their families also will attend the game.

“Dover is excited to partner with the Chicago Wolves for the second year in a row to support groups that engage children with STEM-related education and activities,” said Adrian Sakowicz, Vice President of Communications at Dover. “We are happy that children with a passion to learn will be able to experience the game, and the organizations will be recognized for their work in driving STEM learning.”

Dover’s philanthropic arm, the Dover Foundation, focuses on education with an emphasis on enriching science and technology experiences for students.

“With each passing year, it becomes more clear that education – particularly STEM learning – is a critical component to unlocking a bright future,” said Wolves president Mike Gordon. “The Wolves commend Dover’s willingness to help children and we’re proud to recognize those who are a part of STEM-related groups and other educational organizations.”

The Dover Foundation also assists Dover’s operating companies and their employees in their efforts to become active members in the communities in which they operate by supporting not-for-profit organizations, causes and/or projects that benefit the community, the environment, and education.
