SE6S9858.jpgDefenseman Brian Sipotz and the Wolves have teamed up with the City of Chicago's Department of Animal Care and Control to help find loving families for dogs. Visit "BRIAN'S BARKING BUDDIES" in the East Lobby of the Allstate Arena during select regular season home games.

A group of dogs will be available for adoption during at least one regular-season home game each month.  Prospective owners are required to go through a screening process and pay a $65 fee, which includes spaying or neutering, all vaccinations, a Chicago pet license and a Wolves dog collar.

The Chicago Department of Animal Care and Control Animobile

VanWeb.jpgThe Wolves also sponsor the Chicago Department of Animal Care and Control Animobile – an innovative mobile adoption unit and clinic.  Learn more about the Wolves commitment to their canine brethren on this page.

The Animobile is a free and convenient mobile adoption unit, as well as a top-drawer, modern clinic staffed by veterinarians and adoption pros. It is air-conditioned and heated for year-round use, and can hold up to 20 to 25 dogs and cats at one time.

Provided by the Chicago Wolves and the City of Chicago's Department of Animal Care & Control (ACC) , the Animobile will be traveling around the city to help decrease the number of stray animals.

Please join the Wolves in finding permanent homes for Chicago's homeless dogs

Thank you, Wolves Fans, for giving dogs new, loving homes over the past six seasons.

"We adopted Corey on October 14, 2006 at the Wolves game and couldn't be happier with him! We didn't expect to go home with a new pet, but we just couldn't resist his cute puppy face. Thanks so much Brian's Barking Buddies!"

penelope0305g.jpg"Thank you for having Adopt-A-Dog Night. We couldn’t imagine living without our “Little” 61 lbs. princess. Her name is Penelope and she is a Boxer/LabMix. We adopted her back in March of 2005, and haven’t regretted it for one day. She is the sweetest most loving dog we’ve ever had. She’s SO beautiful."

The Chicago Wolves have been partners with ACC in helping homeless dogs for several years. The Wolves not only host Adopt-A-Dog Nights throughout the season, but Wolves Owner Don Levin purchased and donated the Animobile to ACC. To learn more about the ACC, visit their website at: www.Cityofchicago.Org/animalcarecontrol

Animal care and control statistics:

Approximately 26,000 animals were impounded at the ACC in 2003 – that is a staggering 68 animals a day, every day, for one year.

From this number, approximately 3,000 animals were adopted, 4,000 were transferred to rescue groups and more than 1,200 reclaimed by their owners.

These numbers reflect the urgent need to find safe, loving homes for abandoned animals in our community.

For more information, contact the ACC at (312) 747-1392 or call the Wolves office at (847) 724-GOAL (-4625).
