Wolves players wore commemorative Cancer Survivors jerseys, presented by Chase, on Jan. 14, 18, and 21. The jerseys were auctioned and raffled with proceeds benefiting Chicago Wolves Charities and cancer-related charities.
Wolves right wing Darren Haydar chose to wear a new jersey each of the three nights during the Cancer Survivors week in honor of his wife, Sara. Sara was diagnosed with stage 4 throat cancer in 2008 and has endured 15 surgeries in the past three years. Though she continues to undergo treatment, she has been cancer-free since April 2009.
Two of Haydar's jerseys were already purchased through the in-arena auction and raffle. This online auction is for Haydar's third jersey. Bidding starts at $250, with minimum bid increments of $25.
Auction begins Monday, Jan. 23, and ends at noon on Friday, Feb. 3, 2012. Proceeds benefit Chicago Wolves Charities and cancer-related charities.
Good luck!
