Where To Donate Food

The following organizations accept food donations:

FOOD

  • Packages4Patriots: protein bars, gum, coffee, powdered drink mixes, sunflower seeds, tuna or chicken salad kits, trail mix, microwave popcorn, Nissin Cup noodles, beef jerky and canned goods
  • St. Leonard’s Ministries: non-perishable food items such as coffee
  • Midwest Veteran’s Closet: coffee, meals in a can, meals in a box, cereals, condiments, grains and bottled water
  • Greater Chicago Food Depository: canned and non-perishable food
  • Lakeview Pantry: non-perishable food
  • Common Pantry: unopened non-perishable food items
  • The Friendship Center: non-perishable food items, homegrown and community garden produce
  • A Just Harvest: canned frozen vegetables, canned broth, canned soup, and non-refrigerated to-go lunches
  • Northern Illinois Food Bank: shelf stable foods, fresh produce and dairy, and agricultural produce, farm fresh products
  • Irving Park Food Pantry: non-perishable food items
  • The Self Help Closet & Pantry of Des Plaines: canned entrees, soup, canned vegetables, canned meat, rice, pasta, black tea, pancake mix and syrup, breakfast cereals, pasta sauce, vinegar, peanut butter, jelly and jam, juice, baking goods, condiments, and fresh produce
  • Evanston Vineyard Care Center Food Pantry: cold cereal, oatmeal, crackers, canned fruit or vegetables, canned tomatoes or spaghetti sauce, pasta, rice, mac & cheese, dried or canned beans, chili, soup, peanut butter, jelly, tuna, and baby food and formula
  • Crystal Lake Food Pantry: canned tuna, canned ham, canned chicken, peanut butter, canned beans, canned fruits, canned vegetables, fresh produce, boxed meals, hearty soup, rice, pasta, flour, sugar, cooking oil, oatmeal, flour, sugar, dietary foods, and juice
