The Chicago Wolves have signed center Kevin Doell (DOLE).

The 31-year-old forward spent six seasons with the Wolves from 2003-2008 and 2009-10, and ranks 12th on Chicago’s all-time scoring register with 168 points (68G, 100A) in 358 career games. He also has racked up 392 penalty minutes and was a member of the Wolves 2008 Calder Cup Championship team.

The Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, native spent the 2010-11 campaign in Finland with Tappara Tampere (SM-Liiga), where he ranked first on the team with 18 goals and 38 points and held third with 20 assists and second with 105 penalty minutes in 58 contests. He also competed in Europe during the 2008-09 season, amassing 22 goals, 27 assists, 49 points and 105 penalty minutes in 37 outings with Leksands-IF of the Swedish First Division.

DOELL’s most recent North American action came as a member of the Wolves 2009-10 squad. He shared sixth on the team with 16 goals and ranked eighth with 37 points in 79 games that season, and added three goals - including two game-winners - in nine postseason matchups during the team’s run to the West Division Finals that season.

The University of Denver graduate and 2004 ECHL Rookie of the Year made his National Hockey League debut with the Atlanta Thrashers in 2007-08, notching his first career NHL point - an assist on Jan. 15 against the Detroit Red Wings - and four penalty minutes in eight games. He has also appeared in 49 career Calder Cup playoff matchups for Chicago, collecting nine goals, nine assists, 18 points and 57 penalty minutes.

In accordance with team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
