Wolves Sign Goaltender O'Brien

The Chicago Wolves have signed goaltender B.J. O’BRIEN to a Professional Tryout Contract (PTO).

The Chicago Wolves have signed goaltender B.J. O’BRIEN to a Professional Tryout Contract (PTO).

O’BRIEN backstopped the Central Hockey League’s Missouri Mavericks to a 4-1 win over the Bloomington Blaze Friday night. He stopped 36 of 37 shots in the victory.

The 26-year-old netminder has spilt the 2011-12 season with the ECHL’s Greenville Road Warriors, the CHL’s Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees and the SPHL’s Louisiana IceGators and Augusta Riverhawks.

The Wolves begin a three-game road trip with a contest against the Lake Erie Monsters at 6:30 p.m. tonight at Quicken Loans Arena. For information or to buy tickets to home games, visit chicagowolves.com or call 1-800-THE-WOLVES.
