Wolves Beneficiaries On First Day Of Free Agency

The Chicago Wolves, in conjunction with the St. Louis Blues, announced Friday they have brought forwards KEITH AUCOIN, ALEX BOLDUC, and MARK MANCARI into the organization.

AUCOIN skated in 41 National Hockey League games with the New York Islanders last season, posting six goals and 12 points. He also appeared in six Stanley Cup playoff contests with the Islanders, earning three assists. The 34-year-old center began the 2012-13 campaign with the American Hockey League’s Toronto Marlies where he registered 10 goals, 27 assists, and 37 points in 34 tilts.

The Waltham, Mass., native ranks 12th all-time in the AHL with 814 points (233G, 581A) in 707 career matchups during his 12-year professional career. He also has won two Calder Cup titles with the Hershey Bears (2009 and 2010) and was named the winner of the 2009-10 Les Cunningham Award winner as the AHL’s regular-season Most Valuable Player after he bagged a career-high 106 points (35G, 71A) in 70 games.

The Norwich University alum also has accrued 17 goals, 32 assists, and 49 points in 143 career NHL contests spanning eight seasons (2005-13).

BOLDUC ranked second on the Portland Pirates with a career-best 24 goals and 51 points in 56 AHL games last season. He also skated in 14 NHL outings with the Phoenix Coyotes last year.

Overall the 28-year-old center has tallied five points (2G, 3A) and 42 penalty minutes in 62 NHL tilts with Vancouver and Phoenix from 2008-13 and 173 points (72G, 101A) in 312 AHL matchups with Manitoba and Portland from 2005-13.

MANCARI paced the Rochester Americans with 22 goals, 39 assists, and 61 points in 76 AHL tilts last year. He spent the 2011-12 campaign with the Wolves and led the club with 30 goals and 58 points in 69 games.

Overall, the 27-year-old right wing has accumulated 203 goals, 277 assists and 480 points in 563 career AHL contests with Rochester, Portland, and Chicago, spanning eight seasons (2005-13). The London, Ontario, native has also tallied 10 assists and 13 points in 42 career NHL matchups with Buffalo (2006-07; 2008-11) and Vancouver (2011-12).
