THE OLD WEST

Chicago shares fourth in the West Division with 74 points (35-32-2-2) through 71 games; the Wolves are tied with the Rockford IceHogs, who have played two fewer games, and trail the second-place Houston Aeros, who hold two games in hand, by five points and the third-place Peoria Rivermen by two points.

--- Spencer Machacek: Matched a season-high two goals and notched his ninth multiple-point outing of the season against Manitoba on Friday ... Recorded seven points (3G, 4A) during a current four-game point streak ... Made his NHL debut in two games with Atlanta last week after being recalled on March 16 ... Has held opponents to one or fewer goals 11 times this season, which includes three shutouts

--- Riley Holzapfel: Registered five points (2G, 3A) during a career-high five-game point streak from March 8 to March 20 ... Ranks seventh on the club with 19 assists and shares fifth with 31 points in a team-high 70 outings this year

--- Jordan LaVallee: Recorded three points (G, 2A) in his last three outings ... Ranks third on the team with 17 goals and shares eighth with 27 points in 55 outings during his third pro campaign ... Paces the team and shares fifth in the league with three short-handed markers

WOLF TRACKS

--- The Wolves will play their first road game since March 7 at Quad City on Wednesday before returning home to play two contests at the Allstate Arena this weekend; Chicago has notched a 20-14-0-2 record in Rosemont this season, outscoring opponents, 113-98, along the way.

--- The Wolves have potted eight power play goals in the last four games (8 of 28) after being held to one man-advantage strike in their previous four outings (1 of 19); Chicago ranks 21st in the league with a 15.6 percent efficiency rating on the man-advantage (61 of 391).

--- Chicago lost in the shootout for just the second time this season on Saturday; the Wolves have played past regulation 14 times this season (3-9-2), and rank second in the AHL with an .857 winning percentage in extra time.

--- Chicago has been whistled for 1,113 penalty minutes this year, the fifth fewest in the AHL.

--- The Wolves were perfect on the penalty kill for the first time in five outings against Hamilton on Saturday (six for six); Chicago holds 22nd in the league with an 81.7 percent efficiency rating on the penalty kill (294 of 360).

--- The Wolves surrendered a 2-1 third period lead before dropping a 3-2 decision in the shootout against the Hamilton Bulldogs at the Allstate Arena Saturday night
--- Defensemen Chad Denny and Brett Skinner tallied power-play strikes for Chicago
--- Goaltender Ondrej Pavelec turned aside 27 of 29 shots in regulation and overtime and two of four Hamilton attempts in the shootout

--- Chicago pulled ahead twice but couldn’t hold onto a lead, falling to the AHL-leading Manitoba Moose, 6-3, at the Allstate Arena Friday night
--- Right wing Spencer Machacek tallied two goals and defenseman Clay Wilson added the other marker for Chicago
--- Goaltender Ondrej Pavelec posted 18 saves on 23 shots
