A LOSS FOR WORDS

Sunday's 4-0 shutout loss to the San Antonio Rampage marked Chicago's first in
regulation in 15 games this season; the Wolves (13-1-1-0) lead the AHL with a .900 winning percentage, racking up 27 of a possible 30 points this season.

--- Jesse Schultz: Recorded four points (G, 3A) in three games last week, which includes matching a season-high with two assists on Saturday ... Leads the team and shares sixth in the AHL with eight goals ... Shares the Wolves lead and is tied for 14th in the AHL with 17 points in 15 games

--- Alexandre Giroux: Held scoreless on Sunday, ending a team season-high six-game point streak (3G, 4A) ... Potted Chicago's first short-handed goal of the season on Saturday ... Shares second on the squad with nine assists and third with 15 points in 15 tilts

--- Fred Brathwaite: Leads the AHL with nine wins, is tied for sixth with a .925 save percentage and ranks seventh with a 2.25 goals-against average in 10 outings ... Backed up three of the last four games after starting nine straight from Oct. 19 to Nov. 10

--- Robert Gherson: Recorded his fifth career shutout on Saturday against Houston ... Registered a 2-1-0 mark with a 1.63 goals-against average and a .937 save percentage in three outings with Chicago this season ... Appeared in 39 games with the ECHL's Columbia Inferno last year, racking up a 13-21-3 record with a 3.80 goals-against average and a .891 save percentage

--- Brett Sterling: Collected a goal and two assists in three games last week, which includes matching a season-high two points (G, A) on Saturday ... Recorded five goals and seven points in seven games with the Wolves since being assigned by the Atlanta Thrashers on Nov. 5 ... Made his NHL debut with Atlanta this season, racking up a goal and two assists in 10 matchups

--- Steve Martins: Leads the Wolves and shares 11th in the AHL with 12 assists ... Shares the team lead and 14th in the league with 17 points ... Held without a point on Sunday, ending a season-high five-game point streak

WOLF TRACKS

--- The Wolves earned their first shutout win of the season and 70th in franchise history with a 4-0 blanking of the Houston Aeros at the Allstate Arena on Saturday.

--- Chicago has been shut out in both of its losses this season, which includes getting blanked, 4-0, by San Antonio on Sunday, the 41st time in club history the squad was held without a goal.

--- Sunday's loss snapped the Wolves' season-high seven-game winning streak, which was tied for the fifth longest of its kind in franchise history.

--- Chicago will play six of its next seven games at the Allstate Arena; the squad has notched a 5-1-0-0 mark on home ice this season, outscoring opponents, 19-13.

--- The Wolves hosted a season-high 10,229 fans on Saturday, the team's second crowd of over 10,000 fans in six home dates this season.

--- Chicago has recorded at least four goals in 10 of its 15 games this year, which includes matching a season-high with seven tallies in Friday's win at Iowa.

Wolves defenseman and 2006-07 American Hockey League All-Star Nathan Oystrick will visit the Berwyn Library, 2701 S. Harlem Ave., on Tue., Nov. 20, at 6 p.m., to kick off the 13th year of the team's "Read to Succeed" program, sponsored by Borders. Members of the team will make more than 30 library visits throughout the Chicago area this season, which has reached more than 400,000 children since its inception in 1995.

--- Goaltender Robert Gherson notched 30 saves on 30 shots and four different Wolves found the back of the net as the squad shut out the Houston Aeros, 4-0, at the Allstate Arena
--- Left wing Brett Sterling posted a goal and an assist, while right wing Jesse Schultz dished out two helpers

--- The Wolves used a four-goal second period to open up a 5-2 lead before holding on for a 7-5 victory over the Iowa Stars at Wells Fargo Arena
--- Five players posted two points, including Jason Krog, who potted two goals
--- Goaltender Fred Brathwaite recorded 30 saves in the win
