Captain Darren Haydar's three-goal performance in Saturday's 6-3 win over Milwaukee marked the Wolves' fifth hat trick in 35 games this season; Chicago set a franchise record with nine regular-season hat tricks during the 1995-96 season.


--- Darren Haydar: Notched his third professional hat trick - and first as a member of the Wolves - on Saturday against his former team, the Milwaukee Admirals ... Recorded 12 assists and 17 points in nine games with Chicago this season, six of which have been multi-point efforts ... Accrued his first NHL points (G, 7A) in 16 games with the Atlanta Thrashers from Oct. 11 to Dec. 8 ... Racked up 139 points (46G, 93A) in 82 career contests with Chicago, 12th on the franchise's all-time scoring list

--- Jason Krog: Collected a point in 12 straight games, the longest current streak in the AHL, recording 28 points during that span (7G, 21A) ... Accrued 22 points
(6G, 16A) in the last eight matchups, which includes eight points (2G, 6A) in three games last week ... Leads the league in assists (38) and points (54) ... Registered at least one point in 70 of his 79 career games in a Wolves uniform, bagging 132 (40G, 92A), 14th on the team's all-time scoring list

--- Brett Sterling: Potted two goals and three points in three games last week ... Ranks third in the AHL with a team-leading 21 markers in just 27 contests and shares third on Chicago with 33 points ... Made his NHL debut with the Atlanta Thrashers earlier this season, netting three points (G, 2A) in 10 tilts ... Shares seventh on the franchise's all-time goal scoring list with 76 markers in 104 career outings over two seasons

--- Steve Martins: Matched a season-high with two goals in Saturday's win, his eighth multi-point game of the season and first since Nov. 27 ... Shares third on Chicago with 33 points (13G, 20A) in 34 games ... Netted 13 goals and 39 points in 48 tilts with the Wolves last season

--- The Wolves' .729 winning percentage is second only to the Toronto Marlies (.771) in the Western Conference and third-best overall in the AHL; Chicago and Toronto meet for the first time this season on Saturday at the Allstate Arena.

--- Chicago has won seven of its last nine games and is tied for second in the AHL with 25 wins in 35 games this season.

--- Saturday marked the sixth time this season that Chicago potted at least six goals in a game; the Wolves lead the AHL with an average of 3.91 goals per game, which includes netting at least four markers in 23 of their 35 matchups.

--- The Wolves have bagged a power-play goal in a season-high nine straight games,
racking up 21 of their 45 total goals (46.7 percent) during that span; Chicago leads the AHL with 57 man-advantage markers and ranks second overall in the AHL on the power play at 24.8 percent (57 of 230).

--- Chicago leads the Western Conference and ranks second in the AHL with a .765
winning percentage on home ice, which includes posting victories in four of its last five games at the Allstate Arena.


Wolves center and 13-year veteran Steve Martins will visit the Bartlett Public Library, 800 S. Bartlett Road, on Tue., Jan. 8 at 7 p.m., as part of the team's "Read to Succeed" program, sponsored by Borders. Members of the squad are in the process of making more than 30 library visits throughout the Chicago area this season for the program, which has reached more than 400,000 children since its inception in 1995.
