IN GOOD HANDS AT ALLSTATE

Starting with Tuesday's game against Manchester, the Wolves will play five of their next seven games at home; Chicago is the only team in the AHL without a home regulation loss (5-0-0-1) and ranks first in the circuit with a .917 winning percentage on home ice.

WOLF TRACKS

--- The Wolves have held their opponents to just 35 goals through the first 18 outings this season (1.94 per game), which ranks second in the American Hockey League and includes allowing two or fewer goals in 13 contests.

--- Chicago potted its seventh short-handed tally of the season on Saturday, tied for second most in the league; the Wolves shared second in the circuit with 19 shorties last season.

--- The Wolves matched a season-high six goals on Saturday and have netted four or more goals in two of their last three games; Chicago shares 15th in the league with an average of 2.89 goals per game.

--- Chicago held Grand Rapids without a man-advantage marker on Saturday, snapping a seven-game streak of allowing at least one power-play goal; the Wolves rank 12th in the league with an 84.7 percent efficiency rating (94 of 111).

--- The Wolves exploded for a season-high three power-play goals on Saturday after lighting the lamp just five times on the man-advantage in the previous 17 games; Chicago ranks 29th in the circuit with a 8.2 percent efficiency rating (8 of 97).

CANNED FOOD FOR THOUGHT

--- The Wolves will be collecting canned goods or non-perishable food items to benefit the Belvidere Boone County Food Pantry at home games on Nov. 25, Nov. 29 and Nov. 30 as part of a month-long campaign. Each fan who donates will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win a $150 gift certificate to Cheeseburger in Paradise in Des Plaines.

--- The Wolves held a one-goal lead for 40 minutes before breaking the game open in the third period, adding three straight tallies on the way to a season-high six goals and a 6-3 victory over the Grand Rapids Griffins before 11,718 at the Allstate Arena Saturday night
--- Right wing Jeff Hamilton led the way with a team season-high four points (G, 3A), while center Steve Martins (2G, A), right wing Joe Motzko (G, A) and left wing Brett Sterling (G, A) also added multiple points
--- Goaltender Dan Turple posted 31 saves in the win

Fri., Nov. 21 (at) Quad City 2, Chicago 1
--- Right wing Kris Chucko broke a 1-1 tie midway through the third period and the Wolves couldn't find the equalizer, losing 2-1 to the Quad City Flames at I Wireless Arena Friday night
--- Left wing Jordan LaVallee scored the lone goal for Chicago, the team's sixth shorthanded tally of the season
--- Goaltender Dan Turple turned aside 24 of 26 shots in his first loss of the season

Wed., Nov. 19 Chicago 5, (at) Lake Erie 4
--- Chicago rattled off five straight goals and held off a late comeback to earn a 5-4 win over the Lake Erie Monsters at Quicken Loans Arena Wednesday night
--- Right wing Joey Crabb (G, A) and defenseman Jamie Rivers (2A) led the way for the Wolves, while five different skaters found the back of the net
--- Goaltender Dan Turple earned the win, despite allowing a season-high four goals (22 saves on 26 shots)
