The Wolves rank first in the West Division with 34 points through 28 games (16-10-1-1). Chicago holds an one point advantage over Milwaukee, Iowa and Peoria, while Rockford trails the Wolves by two points. Just four points separate first and sixth place in the West Division.

Posted a 1-4-1 record with a 4.04 goals-against average and .874 save percentage in six outings with the ECHL's Las Vegas Wranglers before being assigned by the Dallas Stars on Dec. 12 ... WOLF TRACKS

--- The Wolves have held their opponents to 70 goals through 28 outings this season (2.50 per game), which ranks second in the American Hockey League and includes allowing two or fewer goals in 17 contests (12-4-1-0).

--- Chicago has posted a .929 winning percentage when leading after two periods this season (13-1-0-0), which includes holding a 4-0 margin after 40 minutes on the way to their 4-1 win Sunday.

--- The Wolves have tallied a power-play goal in a season-high five straight games and registered a 30.8 conversion rate during that span (eight of 26); Chicago ranks 27th in the league with a 12.2 percent efficiency rating (18 of 177) on the power play.

--- Wolves center Riley Holzapfel will visit the Blue Island Library, 2433 York Street, on Tue., Dec. 16 at 4 p.m., and the Evergreen Park Library, 9400 S. Troy, at 7 p.m., as part of the team's "Read to Succeed" program, sponsored by Pace. Members of the squad will make more than 30 library visits throughout the Chicago area this season for the program, which has reached more than 450,000 children since its inception in 1995.

WOLVES REWIND (2-1-0-0)

--- The Wolves used a season-high four-goal second period to gain the upper hand and never looked back, on the way to a 4-1 victory over the San Antonio Rampage at the Allstate Arena on Sunday night.
--- Right wings Joe Motzko (G, 2A) and Jeff Hamilton (G, 2A), each netted three points in the matchup while Tomas Pospisil and Steve Martins also dented the net.
--- Goaltender Brent Krahn stopped 22 of 23 shots in his Wolves debut which includes holding the Rampage scoreless for the first 50:08 of the contest.

Sat., Dec. 13
(at) Rockford 7, Chicago 2
--- The Wolves rallied from a 2-0 deficit but fell victim to a James Wisniewski hat trick on the way to a 7-2 drubbing at the Rockford MetroCentre Saturday night.
--- Right wings Joe Motzko and Jeff Hamilton netted power-play tallies for Chicago.
--- Goaltender Robert Gherson posted 24 saves in the loss.

Fri., Dec. 12
Chicago 3, (at) Iowa 2 (SO)
--- The Wolves rebounded from an early 2-0 deficit and posted an eventual 3-2 shootout victory over the Iowa Chops at Wells Fargo Arena Friday night.
--- Forwards Joe Motzko and Riley Holzapfel lit the lamp for Chicago during regulation and right wings Jeff Hamilton and Junior Lessard scored in the shootout.
--- Goaltender Robert Gherson turned aside 22 of 24 shots in regulation and overtime and four of five attempts in the shootout.
