The Atlanta Thrashers have recalled goaltender Kari Lehtonen (CAR-ee LEH-tuh-nehn) from the Chicago Wolves.

The 26-year-old netminder posted a 1-1-2 record in four games after being assigned for conditioning on Jan. 22. He also registered a 2.67 goals-against average and .899 save percentage in those contests and held opponents to two or fewer goals three times.

The Helsinki, Finland, native began his North American career with the Wolves and has amassed a 61-32-6 mark in 102 career outings with Chicago from 2003 to 2005 and conditioning stints in 2007 and 2010.

LEHTONEN, the second overall pick in the 2002 National Hockey League Entry Draft, has not appeared in any games with Atlanta this season after undergoing surgery earlier this year. He has appeared in 204 NHL games with the Thrashers, spanning five seasons (2003 to 2009), and is the Thrashers all-time leader among goaltenders in games played (204), wins (94), shutouts (14), and save percentage (.912).

The Wolves return to action on Tuesday when they host the Peoria Rivermen at the Allstate Arena at 7 p.m.
