Mike Gordon begins his second season as president after joining the Wolves as vice president of partnerships in February 2009. During his tenure, the front office won the 2010 President's Award given annually to an AHL organization for excellence in all areas off the ice, and back-to-back Sponsorship Sales Department of the Year awards in 2010 and 2011. Last season, both group ticket attendance and corporate sponsorship revenue reached organizational highs. Prior to the Wolves, Gordon served as the vice president of sales for the Arena Football League's Chicago Rush, where he oversaw all of the team's corporate sponsorship initiatives. Under Gordon's direction, the Rush ranked among the top three teams in the AFL corporate sponsorship revenue for five consecutive years (2004 - 2008). In addition to his sponsorship duties, he oversaw ticket sales during his first three seasons with an increase of 56% and the organization's first sell-out. During his tenure, the Rush won the AFL Commissioner's award for Organization of the Year three times.
The 43-year-old Gordon also spent seven years in the athletic department at DePaul University, most recently as Assistant Athletic Director for External Relations, where he oversaw the licensing, marketing, ticket sales, and sponsorships for the athletic department. In addition to his departmental duties, he taught undergraduate classes in sports marketing. A graduate of Knox College in Galesburg, Ill., Gordon received his MBA in Marketing at DePaul University. He also performed consulting work for the Chicago Blackhawks, the 1994 World Cup and several minor league baseball teams.
Gordon and his wife, Susan, have a daughter, Katie, and a son, Alex, and reside in Arlington Heights, where he also serves as President of the Arlington Heights Park District Foundation. |
Courtney Mahoney enters her 15th season with the Wolves and first as the senior vice president of operations.
The Western Springs native and graduate of Lyons Township High School joined the Wolves community relations department in 1996 and moved into the leadership role before the 1997-98 season. She assumed control of game operations prior to the 2000-01 season before being named director of operations in 2004.
The 36-year-old Mahoney, who was awarded the AHL’s Ken McKenzie award in 2009 for outstanding promotion of the team, has spearheaded some of the club’s most successful community endeavors, including the Read to Succeed and Adopt-A-Dog programs. Under her supervision, more than $4 million has been raised for Chicago Wolves charities.

Curt Gruber joined the Wolves in April of 2009 as the vice president of business development. The 45-year-old most recently served as the vice president of marketing and business development for the Arena Football League's Chicago Rush. Prior to joining the Rush, Gruber served as a senior marketing manager for Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company and as director of global brand development at Jim Beam Brands Company. The Park Ridge native is a graduate of Illinois State University and received an M.B.A. from the Thunderbird School of Global Management is the faculty director of the Master of Sports Administration program at Northwestern University. Eric Zavilla enters his 13th season with the Wolves and fifth as the team's Executive Director of Ticket Sales and Services. The 37-year-old Palatine native joined the club as a Ticket Sales Representative in 1999 and also held the titles of Account Executive, Senior Account Executive, Season Ticket Sales Manager and Director of Season Ticket Sales before assuming his current role in September of 2007. A 1999 graduate of the University of Kansas, Zavilla first entered the hockey business as an intern with the International Hockey League's Kansas City Blades while in college. Julie Seyller enters her eighth season with the Wolves and fourth as senior sales manager. The 31-year-old native of Buffalo Grove joined the team in 2004 as an account executive and also served as a senior account executive before assuming her current role. The 38-year-old joined the Wolves as a game day staff member in December of 1998 and became a full-time staff member in March, 1999.
Prior to joining the Wolves, the DePauw University graduate was the owner and operator of Tee to Green Golf in Deerfield from 1995 to 1999, and interned with the Indianapolis ICE of the now defunct International Hockey League.

Ross Dettman enters his 17th season as the Wolves as team photographer. The University of Illinois-Chicago graduate began a photographic career as a student covering the UIC Flames hockey team. The 48-year-old has covered eight Super Bowls, six Stanley Cup Finals, has had more than 40 spreads in ESPN The Magazine and won an Emmy from ESPN.com for a visual piece titled “No Love Lost.” Dettman resides in the Western suburbs. |

Ron Storto is currently in his fourth season with the Wolves and third as the organization's executive television producer. Under his current role, the River Forest native oversees the team's television package on Comcast Cable, which broadcasts every regular-season game - including all 40 home contests - as well as every playoff game live.
Prior to joining the Wolves, Storto spent 12 years on Chicago White Sox and Chicago Blackhawks broadcasts working his way up from graphics to executive producer along the way. A graduate of Oak Park River Forest High School and Columbia College in Chicago, Storto first joined the industry with SportsVision in 1986 and stayed with the station during its transition to SportsChannel, Fox Sports Channel, Fox SportsNet and Comcast.
