DES MOINES, Iowa — The Chicago Wolves won their third-straight game as they defeated the Iowa Wild 3-1 Wednesday night at Wells Fargo Arena.

Center Corey Locke, defenseman Joel Edmundson, and right wing Ty Rattie scored for Chicago (7-6-0-1), while defenseman Evan Oberg dished out two assists. Goaltender Jake Allen denied 26 shots to down Iowa (6-6-0-0).

Locke got Chicago on the board first with a tally 2:32 into the game. Iowa goaltender Darcy Kuemper made the initial stop on Oberg’s shot from the left point, but allowed a rebound, which was picked up by right wing Mark Mancari and dished to Locke. Locke repositioned himself in the front of the net and tapped it behind Kuemper.

Iowa tied the game early in the second frame on a power-play goal. Defenseman Jon Landry took a shot from inside the faceoff circle and picked up his own rebound, moving back behind the net and sending a pass to left wing Erik Haula. Haula placed the puck in the top corner over a sprawled Allen (7-3-1).

Edmundson notched his first American Hockey League goal at 15:32 of the second period to put Chicago back on top. Edmundson received a pass at the point from Oberg and released a shot from the blue line that eluded Kuemper after deflecting off multiple Iowa players.

Chicago iced the win at 10:36 of the third period. Defenseman Taylor Chorney moved the puck down low along the boards and threaded it to Rattie, who was streaking towards the goal. Rattie beat a screened Kuemper top-shelf. Kuemper (3-5-0) stopped 20 shots.

Chicago closes out its six-game road trip at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 15 against its Amtrak rival Milwaukee Admirals.
