The Chicago Wolves announced Saturday that goaltender Jake Allen has been recalled by the St. Louis Blues, while left wing Chris Porter has been returned on loan to Chicago. In addition, goaltender Jordan Binnington has been reassigned from the ECHL’s Kalamazoo Wings to the Wolves.
ALLEN has won his last four starts with the Wolves to bump his win total to 14, which shares fourth in the AHL. The 23-year-old netminder has appeared in 23 of Chicago’s 33 outings this season (14-7-2) and ranks sixth
in the circuit with a 2.17 goals-against average and 11th in the league with a .922 save percentage.
PORTER has registered an assist in 10 games with St. Louis this season. The 29-year-old forward also has accrued 11 points (3G, 8A) in 19 AHL tilts with the Wolves, which includes 3 points (G, 2A) in his last three contests with Chicago.
BINNINGTON has posted a 10-6-1 record and ranks seventh in the ECHL with a 2.21 goals-against average and sixth with a .924 save percentage in 17 games with the Kalamazoo Wings during his professional debut. The 20-year-old netminder was named the ECHL Rookie of the Month for December after notching a 6-2-0 mark, a 1.74 goals-against average and .941 save percentage in eight appearances during the month.
