Wolves Recall Kattelus

The Chicago Wolves announced Thursday they have recalled forward Eric Kattelus from the ECHL’s Kalamazoo Wings.

KATTELUS ranks second on Kalamazoo with 14 goals, 18 assists, and 32 points in 34 outings this season. He has bagged four goals in his last two outings with the K-Wings.

The 26-year-old forward made his American Hockey League debut in 39 games with the Wolves last season after being signed by the team on Jan. 7, 2013. He registered 10 assists and 13 points with Chicago, and he ranked fifth on the club with a +9 plus/minus rating.

The Traverse City, Mich., native began the 2012-13 campaign with Kalamazoo where he recorded 13 goals and 32 points in 34 outings. His 32 points in 34 games with the K-Wings matched his point output (10G, 22A) in 68 contests he collected with Kalamazoo in 2011-12.

The Wolves look to push their home winning streak to eight games when they host the Toronto Marlies at 7:30 p.m. on Friday at the Allstate Arena. For information or to buy tickets to the game, call 1-800-THE-WOLVES or visit chicagowolves.com.
