The Chicago Wolves announced Thursday they have signed forward Gergo Nagy to a professional tryout contract (PTO).
The 24-year-old Dunaujvaros, Hungary, native has spent the 2013-14 season with the Quad City Mallards (CHL), where he has produced 14 goals, a team-high 29 assists and team-high-tying 43 points in 49 games. He also ranks second on the Mallards with a +14 plus/minus rating.
Prior to making his North American debut, NAGY spent four seasons with Szekeshfehervar Alba Volan HC in Austria’s Erste Bank Hockey League (EBEL). He totaled 14 goals, 30 assists and 44 points during 163 games from 2008-12.
