WHAT’S AT STAKE
The Wolves can close out this best-of-five series with a win tonight. Top-seeded Texas and third-seeded Toronto already have advanced to the Western Conference semifinals while fourth-seeded Grand Rapids holds a 2-1 lead over fifth-seeded Abbotsford. If the Wolves win their series, then they will face Toronto in the next round. If Rochester wins today and in Game 5 on Sunday, then it will face Texas in the next round.
NUMBERS TO KNOW
- Jake Allen recorded his eighth shutout of the 2013-14 season Thursday night, which sets a Wolves record. Kari Lehtonen posted five regular-season whitewashes and two playoff shutouts in 2004-05.
- Adam Cracknell posted two goals for the third time this season and notched the 15th multiple-goal game of his career. The 28-year-old hadn’t scored two goals in a postseason game since 2008 while playing for the ECHL’s Las Vegas Wranglers.
- The Wolves allowed Rochester just 18 shots Thursday, which is the lowest total surrendered by Chicago this season and tied for the fourth-fewest of any Wolves playoff game.
