The Chicago Wolves have re-upped their one-year affiliation agreement with the Missouri Mavericks of the Central Hockey League for the 2014-15 season. The upcoming campaign will mark the fourth straight season the two clubs will be working together.
“Once again we are very pleased to be affiliated with a first-class organization in the Missouri Mavericks,” said Wolves general manager WENDELL YOUNG. “The synergies between our clubs have made for a great partnership that we look forward to continuing this upcoming season.”
The Mavericks play at the 5,800-seat Independence Events Center in Independence, Mo., and ranked second in the CHL with an average of 5,406 fans per game in 2013-14. The five-year-old Mavericks have been named the CHL’s Franchise of the Year three seasons running and will be up for a fourth this summer.
On the ice, Missouri finished atop the standings with a regular-season record of 44-20-2 last year before falling in the first round of the playoffs. During the 2013-14 season, the Wolves dressed two players who also suited up for the Mavericks — defenseman HENRIK ØDEGAARD and forward Eric Castonguay.
