The four-time league champion Chicago Wolves will have 58 regular-season contests and all of their playoff games broadcast on network television during the 2014-15 season. The majority of the American Hockey League games will air on The U-Too, including the Wolves’ 21st season opener at 7 p.m. Saturday at Allstate Arena.
The U-Too is found over the air at WCIU-DT 26.2. Cable subscribers get the channel on XFinity 230 and 360, RCN 35 and WOW 170. The U-Too moved recently from Ch. 248 to 230 and was upgraded to HD in the process, which marks the second year every Wolves broadcast has been available in HD. A fistful of Wolves games, including the Oct. 24 home game against Milwaukee, will air on WCIU (Ch. 26).
“We are excited to partner with WCIU’s networks for another broadcast season of Chicago Wolves Hockey,” said Mike Gordon, the Wolves’ president of business operations. “The U-Too’s move to Ch. 230 puts the channel within a sports cluster that includes ESPN, NHL and MLB networks.”
“We are pleased to continue our relationship with the Wolves this season,” said Robert Ramsey, WCIU-TV’s vice president and general manager. “We look forward to another fun and exciting season of high-caliber hockey.”
