The Wolves and Kia team up for Salute to Military Families

The Chicago Wolves are proud to announce the team’s first Salute to Military Families game, presented by Kia, scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday versus the Milwaukee Admirals at Allstate Arena.

To honor current and former servicemen and their families for selfless dedication to their country, Kia is presenting Saturday’s game that celebrates Chicago-area military families.

“We are excited to partner together with the Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana Kia retailers to create the inaugural Salute to Military Families game,” said Chicago Wolves president Mike Gordon. “Not only has programming been created for this event that will give men and women in the military their proper due, but families will be able to enjoy the evening together. “

The Wolves will recognize military personnel throughout the night. During the first intermission, the U.S. Navy will conduct an Oath of Enlistment ceremony on the ice to welcome future sailors into the service. On the concourse, fans have the opportunity to write a letter to a soldier. There will also be an extended break when all veterans will be acknowledged.

The Wolves also will collect new and unused gift cards — whether they be for gas, groceries or other necessities — as part of the team’s Military Appreciation Drive. All donations will be distributed to military-related charities.
