Chris Chelios signing books at Wolves game Saturday

Hall of Fame defenseman Chris Chelios will sign copies of his new book, “Made in America,” prior to Saturday’s 7 p.m. game between the Chicago Wolves and Rockford IceHogs at Allstate Arena in Rosemont.

Chelios, who played with the Wolves in 2009-10 at the age of 48 to conclude his remarkable 27-year professional career, wrote his autobiography in conjunction with USA TODAY’s Kevin Allen. Fans have the opportunity to purchase the book and meet Chelios during the event. He will conduct another book-signing on Saturday, Dec. 20, prior to the Wolves’ 7 p.m. game against the Iowa Wild.

The Chicago native has attended multiple Chicago Wolves games this season to keep tabs on his son, Jake, who has delivered 7 assists in 9 games this season as a Wolves blueliner. The 23-year-old leads the team with 5 power-play assists. Chris and Jake Chelios became the first father and son to play for the Wolves when Jake made his American Hockey League debut on April 11, 2014.
