Stanley Cup-winning forwards Colin Fraser and Adam Burish are among several Chicago Wolves standouts participating in the team’s sixth Wine Tasting Fundraiser on Wednesday, March 25, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Harry Caray’s in Rosemont.
Fans will sample a variety of delicious wines and appetizers while mingling with Wolves players in a relaxing atmosphere. Right wing Shane Harper, the American Hockey League’s No. 2 goal-scorer, will join FRASER, BURISH, Pat Cannone, Jeremy Welsh and Jake Chelios as part of the festivities.
Fans receive a wine glass and also have the chance to win raffle prizes and bid on exclusive auction items. The extensive list of prizes includes such bundles as the FRASER Wine Package (wine, wine rack, coasters, and an autographed 2010 Stanley Cup Final program), the BURISH Wine Package (wine, a Wisconsin Badgers t-shirt, and a Badgers sign), a HARPER Wolves jersey, a Ty Rattie All-Star jersey, a Matt Climie goalie stick and much more.
“I always call this my veterans event. We’ve attracted a lot of our veterans for this event who enjoy wine and are passionate about it,” said Wolves senior vice president of operations Courtney Mahoney. “Wine Tasting is our final fundraiser of the season and something about that makes it special for our fans.”
Tickets are available for fans at least 21 years of age and can be reserved for a $65 donation. Proceeds from the event benefit Chicago Wolves Charities, which works with more than a dozen Illinois-based charities. Chicago Wolves Charities has raised more than $4 million for local organizations. For more information, call 1-800-THE-WOLVES or visit ChicagoWolves.com.
