Wolves earn multiple awards at AHL meetings

The Chicago Wolves front office captured six American Hockey League awards to commemorate their work during the 2014-15 season. A special presentation ceremony was held as part of this week’s AHL marketing meetings at the FireSky Resort and Spa in Scottsdale, Ariz.

“Our organization is honored to receive these accolades from the AHL,” said Wolves president of business operations Mike Gordon. “There are many great teams in our league and to be recognized as one of its leaders is very humbling. These awards acknowledge the tremendous work that has been done in each of our departments as well as individually. They represent the excellence we strive for on a daily basis.”

The team’s recognition featured the AHL’s coveted Sponsorship Sales Department of the Year award, which marked the third time in five seasons the Wolves have earned the honor. Vice president of partnerships Jon Sata leads the department that consists of manager Greg Sprott, sales executive Clint Taylor, client services coordinators Kayle Gray and Amy Bernstein and junior account executive Jake Schuster.

“This award represents the Wolves’ dedication to building relationships with partners and delivering results in a very competitive marketplace,” said Sata, whose department won additional recognition for hitting a league sales milestone. “We are committed to our business partners and it is humbling to be recognized by the league in this fashion. I am so proud of this partnership sales and fulfillment team that has been recognized with this award.”

Director of program development Stefanie Evans maintained her extended run of excellence as she earned the Western Conference’s Top Group Sales Executive award for the second year in a row — punctuating her fourth straight season in the top three.

“This award is well-deserved and by no means an easy accomplishment,” said Wolves senior director of strategic alliances Dave Pawelek. “Stefanie’s ability to build relationships, grow partnerships, develop new business, and lead the group tickets department is a testament to her incredibly high standards and passion to be No. 1. Stefanie is also one of the most humble selling directors I’ve ever had on a sales team.”

The team’s tickets department, led by senior executive director of ticket sales Kevin Dooley and Pawelek, also received three awards for collective sales achievements.

The four-time champion Wolves celebrate the start of their 22nd season with their home opener on Saturday, Oct. 10, at Allstate Arena. To discover the team’s specials on group outings and season tickets, visit ChicagoWolves.com or call 1-800-THE-WOLVES.
