Wolves sign Eriah Hayes

August 13, 2015

The Chicago Wolves announced Thursday they have signed right wing Eriah Hayes to a contract for the 2015-16 season.

The 27-year-old spent most of last season with the American Hockey League’s Worcester Sharks and produced 8 goals, 17 assists and a +4 plus/minus rating in 59 games. HAYES also appeared in four games for the San Jose Sharks.

The La Crescent, Minn., native signed with San Jose on April 5, 2013. Over the course of two-plus seasons in the Sharks organization, HAYES amassed 23 goals, 27 assists and 87 penalty minutes in 150 regular-season games with Worcester. He played 19 games with San Jose and contributed 1 goal and 4 penalty minutes.

The 6-foot-4, 209-pound forward turned professional following a four-year college career at Minnesota State University in Mankato, where he compiled 52 goals and 44 assists in 153 games. During his senior year, HAYES served as team captain and ranked second in the nation with 12 power-play goals to help the Mustangs earn a 2013 NCAA Tournament berth.

In accordance with team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The Wolves celebrate the start of their 22nd season with the home opener on Saturday, Oct. 10, at Allstate Arena. To learn more about the team’s best deals on season tickets and group outings, visit ChicagoWolves.com or call 1-800-THE-WOLVES.
