Tale of the Tape: Oct. 25

Friday, Oct. 25, 3 p.m. Allstate Arena

The Chicago Wolves return home Sunday afternoon after falling to the Rockford IceHogs 4-3 on Friday. The Wolves scored two third-period goals to force overtime, but the IceHogs outscored the Wolves 2-1 in the shootout to claim the extra point at the MetroCentre.

The Wolves take on the Charlotte Checkers on Breast Cancer Awareness Day, making this the second meeting in nine days for the two squads. When the teams battled on Oct. 17 at Allstate, Chicago came away with a 9-5 victory that represented the team’s biggest offensive outburst since Jan. 5, 2011.

Charlotte is in the middle of a 10-game road trip to start the season because the Checkers are putting the finishing touches on their restored arena. Charlotte won’t play its home opener until Saturday, Nov. 7.
