The Chicago Wolves announced Thursday that veteran defenseman Chris Butler and rookie center Zach Pochiro have been reassigned to the Central Division-leading squad prior to this weekend’s games at San Antonio. Butler was loaned by St. Louis (NHL) while Pochiro was reassigned from Quad City (ECHL) by the Blues.
Butler, 29, notched an assist during the Wolves’ 5-1 season-opening Amtrak Rivalry win on Oct. 10 against Milwaukee. He then returned to the NHL, where he appeared in 2 games for St. Louis.
Butler owns 1 goal and 9 assists in 15 regular-season appearances for the Wolves. The St. Louis native also has produced 13 goals and 71 assists in 384 regular-season NHL games.
Pochiro, 21, delivered 3 goals and 4 assists in 7 games with Quad City. He spent preseason camp and the first two weeks of the American Hockey League season with the Wolves, but did not appear in a game.
The St. Louis native has accumulated 3 goals, 8 assists and 23 penalty minutes in 24 ECHL appearances spread over three seasons. He turned professional after playing the last three seasons with the Prince George Cougars (WHL), where he amassed 61 goals and 86 assists.
