CHICAGO WOLVES’ STAR WARS DAY FEATURES “REBELS” STAR TAYLOR GRAY

The Chicago Wolves are hosting Star Wars Day on Sunday, Nov. 22, at Allstate Arena. As a highlight of the team’s comprehensive event devoted to this cultural phenomenon, fans have the opportunity to participate in an exclusive meet and greet with “Star Wars Rebels” star Taylor Gray.

Gray serves as the voice for Ezra Bridger, the protagonist of Disney XD’s animated “Star Wars Rebels” television show that takes place between the original Star Wars trilogy and the three prequels — and approximately 35 years before the new movie “Episode VII: The Force Awakens” that opens in theaters on Dec. 18. Among other adventures, Gray’s 15-year-old character has engaged in a lightsaber battle with a young Darth Vader and received guidance from Master Yoda via the Force.

Gray will welcome Star Wars fans during the Wolves’ exclusive pregame event from 2 to 3 p.m. in Allstate Arena’s Skyline Room. Everyone who purchases a special Star Wars ticket gets to meet Gray and also receives a custom Wolves lightsaber and the chance to participate in Jedi training.

The ticket package makes fans dressed in Star Wars gear eligible for the costume contest that rewards the winner with the opportunity to perform the ceremonial puck drop on the ice prior to the Wolves’ 4 p.m. game against the Iowa Wild. Fans also can take advantage of the chance to pose for pictures with devotees dressed as Star Wars characters.
