The Chicago Wolves announced Tuesday they have recalled defenseman Jeremie Blain from loan to the Brampton Beast (ECHL).
The 23-year-old Blain accounted for 2 goals, 20 assists and 46 penalty minutes in 31 games for Brampton this season. He ranked third on the team in assists and points and second in penalty minutes.
Blain was selected in the fourth round of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft by the Edmonton Oilers. He played 25 games for the Wolves in 2012-13 as part of his first professional season and produced 4 assists and 40 penalty minutes. For his professional career, the Longueuil, Quebec, native has delivered 8 assists in 45 American Hockey League appearances and 17 goals with 80 assists in 144 ECHL games.
The Wolves return to the ice at 7:30 p.m. Friday versus the Texas Stars at Cedar Park Center. Chicago returns to Allstate Arena on Friday, Jan. 15, to face the Iowa Wild and Saturday, Jan. 16, to play the Lake Erie Monsters.
