LUNDSTROM JOINS WOLVES AS BINNINGTON REASSIGNED TO ST. LOUIS

The Chicago Wolves announced Saturday that goaltender Niklas Lundstrom has been reassigned to the team from Elmira (ECHL) while Wolves goaltender Jordan Binnington has been reassigned to the St. Louis Blues (NHL).

Lundstrom joined the Elmira Jackals on Nov. 17 and fashioned an 8-3-0 record with a 2.92 goals-against average and a .929 save percentage in 13 games. The Varmdo, Sweden, native, who turns 23 on Sunday, appeared in one game for Chicago last year. He played 14 minutes in relief on Feb. 3 against Rochester and stopped all 6 shots he faced.

Binnington has spent the entire season with the Wolves and posted an 8-6-2 record with 1 shutout, a 2.57 goals-against average and a .910 save percentage in 17 games. The 22-year-old Richmond Hill, Ontario, native has produced a 34-22-6 record with a 2.43 GAA in his AHL career. Binnington spent a week-long stint with St. Louis last season, but did not see action.
