Friday, April 15, 7:00 p.m. Wells Fargo Arena
Chicago makes its final road appearance tonight as part of a home-and-home series against Iowa that concludes tomorrow night at Allstate Arena.
The Wolves have won 11 straight games at Wells Fargo Arena, smashing the previous club record for consecutive wins in an opponents’ building. The old mark was 7 straight wins against the Manitoba Moose that lasted from March 5, 1997 to Nov. 13, 1998.
Chicago hasn’t dropped a game on Wild ice since Feb. 7, 2014 (a 4-3 overtime loss).
JOHN ANDERSON’S club swept Iowa with a pair of one-goal decisions in Des Moines on March 25-26 in the last meetings between the teams.
The Wolves have a penchant for netting last-minutes goals at Wells Fargo, scoring 5 times with under 5 minutes left in regulation. Those strikes have taken place at the 15:17, 16:20, 17:21, 18:28 and 19:04 marks. This total doesn’t include an overtime game-winner from PAT CANNONE.
