The Chicago Wolves announced Sunday that forward Landon Ferraro and defenseman Petteri Lindbohm have been assigned to Chicago by the St. Louis Blues (NHL).
St. Louis also recalled goaltender Jordan Binnington. That gives the Wolves two netminders, Pheonix Copley and rookie Ville Husso, to start the season.
Wolves forward Justin Selman and defenseman Dmitrii Sergeev have been assigned to the Missouri Mavericks (ECHL) by the Blues. The Wolves have assigned defensemen Kevin Tansey and Gus Young Missouri and forward Emerson Clark to the Tulsa Oilers (ECHL).
The moves give the Wolves 14 forwards, eight defensemen and two goaltenders.
Chicago opens the 81st AHL regular season on Friday, Oct. 14, in Grand Rapids. The Wolves return home the following night for the back end of a home-and-home series with the Griffins and the first game at Allstate Arena of the 2016-17 season.
