AHL Leading Scorer Hunt Recalled to NHL

The Chicago Wolves announced Thursday that defenseman Brad Hunt has been recalled from loan by the St. Louis Blues (NHL).

The 28-year-old is leading the American Hockey League in scoring with nine goals and 20 assists for 29 points through 23 games. Hunt is amid a four-game point streak, collecting nine points – four goals sand five assists – in that span.

The reigning CCM/AHL Player of the Week also boasts 10 multi-point performances and has been held scoreless in only four games this season.

On Wednesday, Hunt quietly registered three points – a goal and two assists – in the Wolves’ 6-5 overtime setback against their foe across Lake Michigan, the Grand Rapids Griffins. It was his first three-point performance of the season.

The call-up is Hunt’s second of the season. On Nov. 2, St. Louis recalled Hunt but he did not see game action in the Blues’ 6-2 loss to the Dallas Stars at American Airlines Center on Nov. 3. Hunt was returned on loan to Chicago (AHL) on Nov. 4.

The Wolves face the first-place Central Division Milwaukee Admirals on Saturday (Dec. 10) in the clubs’ fourth meeting of the season. The Wolves are on the hunt for their first win in Amtrak Rivalry competition. Puck drop is set for 6 p.m. and the game will broadcast live on the CW50.

Chicago returns to home to Allstate Arena the following afternoon (Dec. 11) for a 4 p.m. contest with the Grand Rapids Griffins. To purchase tickets or for complete Wolves 2016-17 game and broadcast schedules, visit ChicagoWolves.com.
