Wolves Playoff Tickets On Sale at 11 a.m. Friday

The Chicago Wolves’ magic number for clinching a spot in the 2017 Calder Cup Playoffs has dropped to 11 points, which means the American Hockey League franchise can assure its spot as soon as Sunday.

With the Wolves on the verge of clinching the 18th postseason berth in 23 seasons, individual tickets for the first round of the playoffs go on sale to the public at 11 a.m. Friday. The postseason schedule will not be released until the final week of the regular season, which concludes when the Wolves host the Charlotte Checkers for First Responders Night on Saturday, April 15, at Allstate Arena.

To purchase a playoff package — which provides the same seat for all 15 potential Calder Cup home games — or a playoff flex pack, call 1-800-THE-WOLVES. Individual tickets for all playoff games also can be purchased by visiting ChicagoWolves.com or Ticketmaster.com, calling Ticketmaster at 800-745-3000, or visiting the Allstate Arena box office or any other Ticketmaster outlet.

The Wolves (37-18-7-3) trail the Grand Rapids Griffins by just one point for first place in the Central Division with 11 regular-season games remaining. The top four finishers in the eight-team Central Division qualify for the postseason. The No. 1 and No. 4 seeds meet for a best-of-five series in the first round, as do the No. 2 and No. 3 seeds. All subsequent playoff series are best-of-seven.

The Wolves have just five home games remaining and return to Allstate Arena on Saturday, April 1, to face the Cleveland Monsters. On Sunday, April 2, the first 2,500 fans for the 4 p.m. game against the Charlotte Checkers receive a Brett Sterling bobblehead courtesy of CW50.
