The Wolf of the Mag Mile

August 3, 2017

Painted by Imran Javed and Sharon Roden.

More than 100 large and carefully painted K9 cop statues are standing proudly throughout downtown Chicago until Labor Day as part of the “K9s For Cops” campaign. The 54-inch-tall statues were all crafted by different local artists and together orchestrate the unique fabric of the city.

Conceived by PAWS Chicago, Chicago Police Department and Chicago Memorial Police Foundation, the campaign memorializes fallen officers in an effort to raise funds for their families as well as providing free spray/neuter services for residents in underserved communities.

The Chicago Wolves’ K9 installation can be found greeting people outside of the Hyatt Regency on Upper Wacker Drive. Share your selfie with Wendell the Wolf using the hashtags #ChicagoK9s and #theMagMile.

A full gallery of the dogs is available on Chicago K9s website.
