Barbashev Returns to Chicago

The Chicago Wolves announced Sunday that forward Ivan Barbashev has been loaned to the club by the St. Louis Blues.

The 21-year-old is no stranger to the Wolves as he began his professional career with the team in 2015. Through two seasons (2015-17) in Chicago, Barbashev has appeared in 111 games and collected 65 points (29G, 36A).

Last season, though Barbashev missed 30 games due to call-ups and injury, he still finished sixth on the Wolves in points (37) and fourth in goals (19).

The Moscow native began the 2017-18 campaign with the Blues — he was named to their opening night roster — and has skated in six of their nine games, including Saturday’s 3-2 overtime loss to the Vegas Golden Knights.

Barbashev will be available when the Wolves face in the Manitoba Moose at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 25, in the first of three School-Day Games this season. The game will stream on AHLLive.com.
