GLENVIEW, Ill. — Before the Chicago Wolves face the Grand Rapids Griffins at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 6, at Allstate Arena, join the Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana to break the Guinness World Record for the most cookies dunked in milk simultaneously.
The record-setting attempt will be one of many highlights during Girl Scout Night as troops from throughout the Chicago area celebrate the kickoff of their 2018 Girl Scout Cookie Program.
“We are proud to help all of these go-getters, innovators, risktakers and leaders as they begin this year’s cookie-selling journey,” said Wolves president Mike Gordon. “The opportunity to accomplish something memorable like the Guinness World Record makes Saturday’s event even better.”
The Allstate Arena doors open at 2 p.m. for the rally, which begins with an open skate, interactive cookie activities and performances by Carly and Martina — 16-year-old twins from Chicago who write and perform their own music.
Everyone seated inside the arena by 4 p.m. gets to be a part of history and shatter the Guinness World Record for dunking cookies in milk. Guinness World Record officials will be on hand to track the number of participants as the Girl Scouts chase the record set in 2013 in India.
The day’s events are free with the purchase of a ticket for the Wolves game that night. To get your ticket and ensure you’ll be counted for the Guinness World Record, visit http://www.chicagowolvesstore.com/girl-scout-cookie-kickoff/ or call 1-800-THE-WOLVES.
