The Chicago Wolves announced Saturday that defenseman Jake Walman has been recalled from loan by the St. Louis Blues.
This season, Walman has skated in 34 of 36 contests for the Wolves. He ranks second in scoring among team defensemen with 13 points (2G, 11A), five points behind veteran Jason Garrison (4G, 14A).
Drafted by the Blues in the third round, 82nd overall, of the 2014 NHL Draft, Walman is in his second season with the Wolves. The 21-year-old made his professional debut on April 1, 2017, against the Cleveland Monsters and appeared in 15 games — including eight Calder Cup Playoff contests — during the 2016-17 campaign.
The Wolves will be without Walman when they face the Grand Rapids Griffins on Saturday, Jan. 6. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m. at Allstate Arena, and the game will be televised on CW50.
