The Chicago Wolves announced Saturday that forwards Tomas Hyka and Stefan Matteau have been returned on loan to the club by the Vegas Golden Knights.
The 24-year-old Hyka made his NHL debut on Feb. 19 against the Anaheim Ducks and earned third-star honors. Two games later — on Friday night against the Vancouver Canucks — he netted his NHL goal.
Matteau, a Chicago native, skated in three games for Vegas during his last recall. Overall this season, the 24-year-old has appeared in eight games for the Golden Knights and owns one assist.
Both will join the Wolves in Winnipeg and will be available for the second of back-to-back games on Sunday, Feb. 25, against the Central Division’s best team. Game time is 2 p.m., and the contest will stream on AHLLive.com.
