Play on the ice with ESPN 1000’s Carmen and Jurko during a Wolves intermission

ESPN 1000’s Carmen DeFalco and John Jurkovic are playing a game during the second intermission of the Chicago Wolves game on Saturday, April 14, at Allstate Arena and they’re seeking a handful of hockey-playing fans to join them on the ice.

Carmen and Jurko, who host their daily radio show from noon to 2 p.m. on ESPN 1000, already have recruited CBS 2 news anchor Rob Johnson and ABC 7 reporter/weekend anchor Ravi Baichwal to play in the scrimmage. Now they’re looking for four skaters and two goaltenders to fill their lineups in the 4-on-4 game.

Here’s how to get into the running to play: Send a short highlight video or a YouTube link to [email protected]. They will evaluate every entry that arrives by the Wednesday, April 11, deadline and then announce their selections on the air on Thursday, April 12. Each winner will receive 2 tickets to the April 14 game versus the Rockford IceHogs as well as an invitation to play in the game.

The Central Division-leading Wolves can clinch their 19th playoff berth in 24 seasons with a road win against the Iowa Wild on Friday or a home win over the Milwaukee Admirals on Saturday. The first 5,000 fans to enter Allstate Arena on Saturday receive a set of Wolves Trading Cards, courtesy of Vienna Beef.
