The Chicago Wolves announced Monday that goaltender Zach Fucale has been reassigned to the team by the NHL’s Vegas Golden Knights.
The 23-year-old Fucale joins the Wolves from the ECHL’s Fort Wayne Komets, where he has posted a 1-3 record with a 4.23 goals-against average and .853 save percentage in four games.
Fucale, who split last season between the AHL’s Laval Rocket (10-7, 3.26 GAA) and the ECHL’s Brampton Beast, spent training camp with the Wolves this fall. He served as the backup in the Wolves’ exhibition game on Sept. 29.
The Wolves, who are sitting in second place in the AHL’s Central Division with a .722 winning percentage, continue their five-game road trip at 7 p.m. Friday in Winnipeg against the Manitoba Moose. The team returns to Allstate Arena on Saturday, Nov. 10, for an Illinois Lottery Cup game against the Rockford IceHogs.
