Wolves add Marco Roy

The Chicago Wolves announced Friday that center Marco Roy has been signed to a player tryout contract (PTO). Roy will be available for today’s 7 p.m. game at Iowa.

The 24-year-old from Boisbriand, Quebec, joins the Wolves after posting 12 points (5G, 7A) in 13 games for the ECHL’s Fort Wayne Komets. Roy (pronounced “WAH”) was selected by the Edmonton Oilers in the second round of the 2013 NHL Entry draft.

Roy has appeared in 78 regular-season American Hockey League games and contributed 11 points and 17 assists for the Bakersfield Condors, Utica Comets and San Jose Barricuda. He also has produced 24 goals and 43 assists in 73 regular-season games in the ECHL between Fort Wayne and the Norfolk Admirals.
